A request has been received from an external customer for recommendations for linear position control sensors to be used in an explosive environment. I recommend linearvariable differential transformer LVDT which is now the mostcommonly used sensor for distance in the range of millimeters tocentimeters The principle is illustrated by the circuit diagramshown in the Figure See Answer
