Differentiation between cast iron, carbon steel, and the tempered steel about tensile stress-strain:

Cast iron, carbon steel, and the tempered steel have different behaviours about tensile stress-strain. Because the hardness and brittleness were differentiates all of these. The hardness of Cast iron > Tempered steel > Carbon steel. Similarly the brittleness of Cast iron > Tempered steel > Carbon steel. So these are the major properties to differentiate stress-strain curve. We can also say that the area under the stress-strain curve for Cast iron is < Tempered steel is < Carbon steel. Like this they are different.
