There are two types of inflammation
A) Acute inflammation
B) Chronic inflammation
Acute inflammation is rapid host response which provides the
leucocytes and plasma proteins antibodies to sites of infection or
injury of tissue.
Main cell is neutrophil. It has redness swelling,pain and fever
like symptoms.
B) Chronic inflammation: This is long term inflammation in which
the tissue injury and repair of injury is in different
combinations.
Example: Rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus and tuberculosis
infection. These type of inflammation is adaptive type.
Viral or parasitic infections causes tuberculosis.
Autoimmune mediated diseases. Main cell involved are
macrophages, plasma cells and lymphocytes.
