We're getting towards the end of the course and one of the course learning outcomes is to be able to analyze and interpret the Financial Statements. We already started this earlier in the quarter by finding a publicly traded company and identifying their assets, liabilities and income/loss. Ratios and other measurements are also used to analyze and interpret financial statements. In this last week's discussion, please go back to the financial statements of the publicly traded company you found earlier (SEC gov I Company Search Page) and provide the following ratios (these ratios can also be found at the end of Chapters 6&8 ): 1) Accounts Receivable Turnover - please use net sales (instead of credit sales) if your financial statements don't explicitly state "credit sales"; 2) Average Collection Period; 3) Inventory Turnover; 4) Average number of days in Inventory: 5) Gross Profit Percentage: 6) If Cost of Goods sold has a different name, please provide the name your researched company uses. For your reply, imagine you are a Loan Officer at a Bank and each of the companies in your classmates posts applied for a loan at your Bank. However, your bank is close to hitting loans quota it can give out and can only grant a loan to one of these companies. Choose one of your classmates posts with a company that you would approve a loan to and why. Try to incorporate the outcomes of the ratios posted for that company to guide your decision. However you don't have to limit your response to be guided only by the ratios as these are typically guidelines and other factors may be at play as well. As always, feel free to use your creativity
