Write the electron configuration for the atom using the following design;

(1s)(2s,2p)(3s,3p) (3d) (4s,4p) (4d) (4f) (5s,5p)

FOR S OR P 0.35 FOR EACH ELECTRON IN SAME GROUP

                      0.85 FOR EACH ELECTRON ONE SHELL LOWER

                       1.0 FOREACH ELECTRON 2 SHELLS LOWER

    FOR D OR F 0.35 FOR EACH ELECTRON IN SAME GROUP

                           1.0 FOR REMAINING SHELLS

            FOR P FOR 3P e =2*1+8*1+2*1+2*0.35=12.70

                     Z=15-13.05=1.95

          FOR Co FOR 3S =2+8+15*0.85+1*0.35=23.10

                     Z=27-23.10=3.90

          FOR Mn FR 3D =2+8+8+1.40=19.40

                       Z=25-19.40=5.60
