Recieved from Ms. Baxter a check for 5,000 as a cash down payment and charged the balance to her account. The account will be paid in fumm in 30 days. to calculate the total amount of the sales, divide the out the door price by 1.08. the diffrence between the answer(sales price) and the out the door retail sles price ( selling price + sales tax) will be the sales tax. how do i jouralize this?
