In throttling process the fluid flow is restricted by partially closed valve. During the process there is no change in enthalphy. As in the case of real fluids id we restricted the area then there will be less area for fluid to escape and tgis leads to collisions between atoms most rapidly and this collisions yield a temperature rise after throttling.

But in the case of idea gas the molecules occupy negligible space and there are no interactions between them so there are no collisions this leads to temperature decrease after throttling.exit temperature is less than inlet temperature for only ideal gases.
