This is regarding ASC320 (debt securities), and ASC321 (equity securities).

When it comes to selling those securities in the middle of an accounting period, do we need to evaluate it at fair value and sell it (separate into 2 entries like the first one below)? Or we can just batch the 2 entries in one entry like the second entry below?

I know that it won't affect the overall figures on the FS in either way, but is there any statement as to this treatment in the ASC?
