The synchronous motor always runs at a constant speed calledsynchronous speed. A three phase, 8
pole, synchronous Generator is coupled to a diesel engine runningat 500 rpm. It supplies an induction
motor which has a full load speed of 1440 rpm. Find the percentageslip and number of poles of the
induction motor
