The proliferation of mobile devices has made a large impact onsecurity in IT. IT professionals now have to be able to assess thesecurity risks of an employee using their personal device, andwhether or not that outweighs the benefits of such a policy. Thisis not only a security concern but a concern with compatibility aswell. Many companies use proprietary software, and this softwaremay not be compatible with all operating systems or devicespecifications that someone may have. IT professionals must now beable to account for that and be able to possibly even providealternatives if necessary.
