The binding energy per nucleon for magnesium-27 is 1.326*10-12 J/nucleon

neucleons = protons + neutrons

                   = 12 + 15 = 27

Binding energy in J = 1.326*10-12 *27   = 3.58*10-11 J

   E = mC2

3.58*10-11   =, m*(3*108)2

m                 = 3.58*10-11/9*1016

                    = 3.97*10-28 Kg

                    = 3.97*10-28 *6.022*1026 amu                                     (1 kg = 6.022*1026 amu)

                      = 0.2390734amu

mass diffect = 0.239074amu

actual mass -theoreticl mass = mass diffect

(12*1.007825 + 15*1.008665 )-theoretical mass = 0.2390734

27.223875-theoretical mass = 0.2390734

-Theoretical mass    = 0.2390734 -27.223875

    Theretical mass of Mg          = 26.9848amu >>>>> answer
