Molar mass of NaOH = At.mass of Na + At.mass of O + At.mass of H

                               = 23 + 16 + 1

                               = 40 g/mol

Given the everage mass of triglycerides is 680 g/mol

triglycerides + 3NaOH ---> Sodium salts of carboxylic acids + Glycerol

From the balanced equation ,

1 mole=680 g of triglycerides reacts with 3 mol = 3x40 g of NaOH of NaOH

                                                                    = 120 g of NaOH

Therefore the amount of NaOH required is 120 g
