Suzie Olah has been an accounting clerk for Wellandvale Ltd. for 30 years. Her main task is to process, record, and pay purchase invoices. In the last few years, Wellandvale's business has increased greatly.Suzie keeps invoices in two large files, one for unpaids and one for paids. About once a week, or whenever she gets around to it, Suzie checks the unpaid file and issues cheques for invoices that have become due.The controller of the company has noticed that a number of cash discounts have been lost because payments were not made within the discount period. When confronted, Suzie said she was overworked and should not be blamed.
