The most important way to decrease work stress is to find any offswitch. We currently are surrounded by technology that for the mostpart allows us to do work from anywhere. We have ready access tocomputers, phones, laptops and emails. We needs to be able to turnthese things off and immerse ourselves into our personal lives withno interruptions from work.    Along these lines it isalso important to take time off from the job. Be sure to usepersonal and vacation days so that you are able to recharge andremove yourself from the job stress. I think it is also importantto identify what is causing you stress in the workplace to beginwith. By identifying stressors we can more readily address them. Ifyou are unable to find ways to address them then you need to getinput from your supervisor for possible solutions. You also needfind ways to vent the stress. I find that exercise is a goodrelease of stress for me. If exercise is not your thing then maybetry meditation. It is a great way to clear our mind of all the daysstressors.    If all else fails and you really can notmanage the stressors in a current job then perhaps leaving theposition is a viable alternative. I say this because chronic stresshas been proven to effect your health. Uncontrolled stress levelshave been documented to cause hypertension, high cholesterol,headaches and stomach aches to name a few.
