I am not sure I could come up with a direct link that I know ofabout social media and the works of memory but I can think of howsocial media personally affects my memory. During the Talk PeterDoolittle mentions that we could really only hold 4 things in ourshort term memory ( 3:00). With this being said when I scrollthrough social media I will get reminded of thing to do or thatinterest me. I will countie to scroll before trying to go look forthe information I need, but with in a few seconds and scrolls laterI can not remember at all what I wanted to look up. So I usuallystart all over and try to jog my memory or rethink if it when I sawthe original trigger picture or post. Because I sometimes skimbooks or post my brain does not fully capture what I am attemptingremember or learn.
