salt mass = 4.00 g

total sample mass = 10.50 g

sand mass percent = (sand mass / total mass ) x 100

                                = (3.10 / 10.50) x 100

                                = 29.52 %

sand mass percent = (salt mass / total mass ) x 100

                                = (4.00 / 10.50) x 100

                                = 38.09 %
