Social learning theory postulates that gender development isinfluenced by social environment, which includes the media. Anindividual’s gender-related behavior is either reinforced orpunished during the development period based on the existing socialbeliefs and standards.

Applying the tenets of the social learning theory, explain therole of reinforcement and punishment in gender-related behaviorsfor boys and girls. Address the following:
