You ask her why she went to Oregon to purchase the pool table and fumiture. Moana proudly responds to you and says, "Because Oregon has no sales tax. I must have saved at least $3,000 in sales taxes by purchasing the stuff in Oregonl" Athough you are somewhat hesitant to deliver bad news to Moana, you do anyway by saying, Well, Moana, have you ever heard of a use tax?" Moana says, "No. What's a use tax? Are you saying I still have to pay taxes? If so, how does the state collect it from me?
