Lets take a look at how New Jersey deals with the various aspects of the statute of frauds. Find the New Jersey Statutes. You can try looking in findlaw.com - which you explored earlier in the course. Or, you can go directly to the state legislature's homepage where you will find a link. Once in the database, search for the NJ Statute of Frauds provisions. (Hint: you will not find all the provisions in the same place!) Note that NJ only recognizes four of the five statute of frauds provisions that we studied in this lesson. When you find one of the NJ provisions note the following about it:

1. What does the statute govern? 2. When is a writing required? 3. What is the citation of the statute? (All NJ statutes are cited in a similar fashion --for example, NJSA 2A:15-5.6 is the citation for NJ's Dramshop statute -- so provide your NJ statute of frauds citation in the same format)
