Ideal Foods is oneof the largest biscuit manufacturers in the UK with brands suchJammie Dodgers and Wagon Wheels. In planning an off-site meetingfor the finance team, the key was to keep motivation and energylevels high and to encourage more efficient team working across thegroup. Fresh Tracks put together a full day programme combiningoutdoor activities and energisers that integrated presentationsfrom senior managers to reinforce some of the key messages from theconference. Our “Who’s in the Zoo?” session looked at the varietyof characters that a team will usually comprise, whilst atreasure-hunt with photographic, collection and mental challengesgot the teams up and out of their seats. Team tasks andproblem-solving challenges based on co-operation and communicationprovided key learning points for the day, which concluded with abarbeque and prizes. Results: The day allowed individuals to findout a bit more about the dynamics of teams in general, as well asfinding out about their own and others’ roles with a team inparticular.
