area = 1 hectare = 1.55 x 10^7 sq.inch

water fell = 2.5 in

volume of water = area x water fell in inches

                          = 1.55 x 10^7 x 2.5

                          = 3.88 x 10^7 in^3

1 cubic inch = 0.01639 liters

3.88 x 10^7 in^3 = 3.88 x 10^7 x 0.01639

                          = 635112.5 liters

                          = 6.35 x 10^5 Liters
