Volume of cubic gold , V = side length 3

                                   = (1 inch)3

                                  = (2.54 cm )3

                                 = 16.39 cm3

Density of gold , d = 19.3 g/cm3

So mass of gold , m = density x volume

                              = 19.3 x 16.39 g

                              = 316.3 g

                              = 316.3 / 31.1 troy ounce                   Since 1 troy ounce = 31.1g

                              = 10.17 troy ounce

Given the cost of one troy ounce gold is $1192

So the cost of 10.17 troy ounce gold is $1192 x 10.17 = $12122 .
