a) Ethanol solution: 2.00 mL ethanol (d=0.789g/mL) to make 150. mL of solution

Molarity = (amount of solute present in the solution/ its molecular weight)* 1000/volumume of solution in ml

           = (2ml* 0.789g/ml)/46 g * 1000/150ml                       (since amount of substance= density * volume)

           = 0.229 M

b) Ethanol is a very weak acid and does not dissociate to any appreciable amount.

CH3CH2OH         +               H2O        --->           H3O+ +   CH3CH2O-

c)molecule                  molecule                    ion           ion
