we have

9^m * 9^-5 = 9^7.

As we know in multiplication when bases are same powers are added

  9^m+(-5)=9^7

 9^m-5 = = 9^7

 when bases are equal powers are also equal

 m-5 = 7

m=7+5

m=12

Hence we find the value of m=12

we find the value of m=12,by which LHS is equal to RHs.
