Financial Statement Analysis Project (Buckle Questions).
You will be required to complete a Analysis Project (Buckle Questions). This is a requirement of the course.
Below is an explanation as to what needs to be done for the Buckle questions project. If you still need help, please
ask me.
Please Select a merchandising company and put a link to that company's audited financial statements in the
"merchandising company list" under discussions. You can have up to 4 students per team, but you can also do the
project alone. The financial statements must be audited and must be prepared in conformity with U.S. GAAP. To get
an idea as to what financial statements look like, please refer to Appendix A or Appendix B of the Textbook.
To find merchandising company financial statements, search (Google) name of the company SEC 202310k report
(E.g. Costco SEC 202310K report). Once you find the 10K report, go to its Table of Contents and find where
financial statements are (Their location is usually listed as Part II Item 8 in the table of Contents).
You will use the company financial statements that you select to answer "Buckle" (RWP -3) questions that are at the
end of each chapter of the textbook. Here are the locations were Buckle questions are located: Chapter 1: Pg 52-
RWP1-3; Chapter 2: Pg 109 RWP2-3; Chapter 3: Pg 173 RWP3-3; Chapter 4: Pg 224 RWP4-3; Chapter 5: Pg 277
