Devise an MCR system to control the assembly line shown below (I/O Assignment and Ladder Logic Diagram). All six (6) stations are to function as the set up by one of the two registers. A switch detects the presence of a part on the assembly line. Short and tall parts are sent down the line. Short parts get all six operations. The tall parts will only get the first operation, the forth operation, the fifth operation, and the sixth operation. Tall parts are detected by a limit switch (e.g., use the Thermostat switch on our PLC stations). This limit switch should activate the MCR function and seal it. After the sixth operation has been carried out, the MCR function should be unsealed, and all the operations will turn off until another part is detected again. Note: There should be two (2) seconds delays between starting of each operation.
Operations: | one | two | three | four | five | six |
Pattern A | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Pattern B | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
