Dear Tabby, Recently, I retired. I started collecting a small pension and social security. My wife is also retired and collects social security. When I was out with my friends golfing, one of them told me that my social security income might be taxable. I couldnt believe it! I paid that money while I was working, so why would it be taxable when I get it as my retirement? Since my friend said that he wasnt 100% sure, I figured I would write to you to find out. Can you please let me know if any of my social security checks are included on my tax return? - Retired and curious In order to provide sound advice, you must include the tax code section(s) that you examined to arrive at your conclusion. (You can usually find this information within the module or using the tax library from the Library Resources link in Canvas.)
