Daley & CompanyChartered Professional Accountants is looking for an experiencedHuman Resources Manager to join our Kamloops office. The idealcandidate will have a proven track record of providing sound HRadvice to employees and partners on day to day HR matters and havethe ability to influence and drive HR strategy.
MainResponsibilities:
The Human ResourcesManager will act as a trusted advisor to our employees andpartners. Working closely with our Partners, you will beresponsible for managing all aspects of the HR function to supportthe achievement of our business goals, including full-cyclerecruitment, performance management, policy development,compensation, benefits, employee relations, coaching andtraining.
· Act as the mainpoint of contact for all HR support and manage the day to day HRoperations for the firm;
· Coach and counselemployees and partners on a broad range of matters and ensureconsistent application in accordance with firm policies andprocedures including: HR queries, legal issues, leadership,performance management issues, conflict management and disciplinaryissues as required;
· Responsible forfull cycle recruitment, including development of job postings,advertising vacancies, screening resumes, coordinating andconducting interviews, reference checks and job offers;
· Assist in therecruitment of CPA students, including liaising with colleges anduniversities, hosting information sessions or events, coordinatingoffice tours, networking at various events, screening andinterviewing candidates;
· Develop a HRpresence on social media and leverage social media in therecruitment process;
· Conduct, andcontinue to develop our new hire orientation program;
· Prepare HRcorrespondence including offer letters, new hire packages, lettersof employment and salary letters;
· Assist with staffrequests regarding HR queries, issues, rules and regulations inaccordance with firm policies and procedures;
· Ensure that all HRforms, employee files, policies, manuals etc. are up-to-date;
· Processdocumentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities(staffing, recruitment, training, evaluations, professional andstudent development etc.);
· Assist inorganizing employee events;
· Identifyemployment issues and recommend improvements, efficiencies andtraining opportunities;
· Research,coordinate and manage training programs, HR projects and HRstrategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications, Skills& Personal Attributes
· Previous HRexperience in a Management or Generalist role;
· Minimum 5 years ofrelated HR work experience, preferably in a professional servicesfirm;
· CPHR designationan asset;
· Maintains a highlevel of expertise on BC employment standards, common law decisionsaffecting employment and Human Rights and other areas of the lawpertaining to employment;
· Proven ability toinfluence and provide guidance on a broad range of employmentmatters at all levels in an organization;
· Ability to handleconfidential and sensitive information with tact anddiscretion;
· Professional andpersonable manner with the ability to speak and present informationto groups;
· High degree ofinitiative with a proactive approach to work;
· Strongorganizational, multi-tasking skills and follow-through oncommitments and deadlines;
· Ability to workunder pressure, adapt and respond to changing situations;
· Excellentcommunication skills both written and verbal;
· Excellent computerskills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and various social mediaplatforms with the ability to grasp new technological tools.
