The problem of the case , a company that specialized inresearching in numerous of blood tests and plasma substitutes forsurgical procedures. The company have over 10 labs in Canada,including Vancouver and the head offices in Calgary. Ed Worthyjoined Techno Greats ten years ago as a researcher after hegraduated from college. After three years working for the company,he got promoted to be a Lab Supervisor before he transferred toCalgary to be the Assistant to the General Manager. One month afterhe works at the Calgary branch, he got his way up to the GeneralManager position after the retirement of the previous GeneralManager. Ed is an excellent leader whom always be there to help hisco workers when they needed and create a positive workingenvironment. He is a good role model for the team and always be theone who makes decisions toward everything in the lab.
Being an creative person whom is very passionate about thethings he does. Ed always try to make sure everything runs smoothlyin the company. However, a major issue that Ed Worthy is facingthat he seems failed to obtain the critical elements of being aGeneral Manager, which including: Planning, Organizing, Leading andControlling. Ed has a lot of things to do everyday at work, heoften plans things in his head but when it comes to reality, manyfactors exist in the lab prevents him to get plans done. Timemanagement is the most major problem that affects Ed at work, hestruggled to accomplish all tasks at work due to his poorprioritize.
