The Q-value tells whether the reaction requires or releases energy.

    Q = mdc2 + mcc2 -mNc2 - mnc2

        = [2.0141024u + 13.003355u - 14.003074u - 1.008665u] * (931.5MeV/c2/u)c2

        = 5.3267 MeV

The total kinetic energy of the products will be the Q-valueplus the incoming kinetic energy.

       KEtotal = KEreactants + Q

                  = 3000 keV +5.3267x103 keV

                  = 8326.6896 keV

                  = 8327 keV

                  = 8.327 MeV
