The balanced chemical equation for the above reaction is

CuSO4∙5H2O + 4 NH3 ---> Cu(NH3)4SO4∙H2O + 4H2O

From the above equuation it was clear that 1 mole of CuSO4∙5H2O will form 1 mole of Cu(NH3)4SO4∙H2O

No. of moles of CuSO4∙5H2O reacted   = weight / MW = 10 g / 249.7 g/mole = 0.040048 moles = No. of moles of Cu(NH3)4SO4∙H2O formed.

Hence, The theoretical yield of Cu(NH3)4SO4∙H2O in grams = No. of moles x Molecular weight

                                                                                                   = 0.040048 mole x 245.7g/mol

                                                                                                    = 9.84 g
