Back in 1986, President Reagan said he was going to "simplify" the Internal Revenue Code. He, and Congress, took what had been one book on tax law and created two books (twice as big as the original book). Do you consider this simplification? How could rules that now where twice as long be "simplification"? President Trump and Congress again simplified the tax code in December 2017. What tax simplification would you suggest?
I am looking for more thought than simply eliminate all tax law.
