Assignment #3 - Shark Tank
You are to watch the show Shark Tank (you can Google the current availability). It is a reality show where entrepreneurs and inventors who need to raise capital or acquire a successful business partner can come on the show and pitch their idea/concept to a panel of wealthy investors. The investors can decide if they want to invest or not, how much they are willing to invest, and what percentage ownership they want in the product/company.
For your paper, you need to watch an episode and summarize two offerings: one where the sharks choose to invest and one where they choose not to invest.
You should explain the offering, explain the valuation that the owner has assigned to the company, and the final offer or a counter-offer valuation proposed by the sharks. Any other financial data shared is also relevant such as profit margin, gross sales, etc. You should explain why the sharks chose to invest or chose not to invest. Give your assessment of whether or not you agree with the sharks decisions.
The paper should be between one and three pages in length, but most likely about 1-1/2 pages to 2 pages should suffice.
