Adaptive bilateral filter (ABF) is used for sharpnessenhancement and noise removal. The ABF sharpens an image byincreasing the slope of the edges without producing overshoot orundershoot. It is an approach to enhance sharpness which isfundamentally different from the unsharp mask (USM). The approachis used in slope restoration and it also differs significantly fromprevious slope restoration algorithms. i) Design and Develop aGraphical User Interface (GUI) using Matlab for enhancing thesharpness with degraded image for Adaptive Bilateral filter. ii) Show separate results for Adding and Removing the noiseusing Adaptive Bilateral filter with a matlab Program in thedesigned GUI. iii) Involve a separate panel in GUI forValidating the work with objective assessment of MSE and PSNR.
