molarity of H+ = no of moles/volume in L

                         = 1*10-2/10 = 10-3 M

             PH   = -log[H+]

                     = -log10-3

                     = 3

           [OH-] = Kw/[H+]

                      = 1*10-14/10-3   = 10-11 M

D. solution is acidic solution.

E. [H+] = 10-3/100 = 10-5 M

   PH = -log[H+]

          = -log10-5

         = 5
