A decrease in plasma volume willdecrease plasma hydrostsatic pressure. This can be detected by thecardiovascular baroreceptors which send a signal to thecardiovascular control center which sends nervous impulses to thearterioles to constrict. Constriction decreases flow to thecapillary beds, in turn decreasing flow out of the capillaries atthe capillary beds served by this arteriole. This prevents furtherdecrease in plasma volume.
