Diagnosis : Emphysema
63 yr old man with history of chronic smoking, with dyspnea,
mild cynosis, and marked slowing of forced expiration and Barrel
shaped chest are all suggetive of emphysema.
Emphysema is a type of chronic obstructive airway disease caused
due to permanent dilatation of airway distal to terminal bronchole.
It leads to air trapoing, hyperinflation of lungs and hence barrel
shape chest wall.
