1a During exercise the cardiac output can increase upto fivefolds from about 5 L per minute to about 25 L per minute This isprimarily due to an increase in heart rate which increases theblood flow to skeletal muscles The cardiac output ismathematically related as the product of stroke volume and theheart rateThe normal cardiac output is 7270or 5040 ml per minute ie about 5 L per minute The increasedblood flow to the heart and skin during cardiac output is theresult of local anterior vasodilation In skeletal and cardiacmuscles vasodilation is mediated by local metabolic factors and inskins it is done by decrease in sympathetic neurons firingsupplying the skin vessels This successive vasodilation isfollowed by vasoconstriction in the kidneys and GIT organs due toan increase in sympathetic neuron activity Vasodilation ofarterioles is not compensated by arteriolar vasoconstrictionincreasing    See Answer
