Given number of moles of Cu(NO3)2 = 1.0 mol

Mass of water = 1000 g = 1 kg    Since 1 kg = 1000 g

We know that molality , m = number of moles of solute / Mass of solvent in Kg

= number of moles of Cu(NO3)2 / Mass of water in kg

                                       = 1.0 mol / 1 kg

                                       = 1 m

Therefore the molailty of the solution is 1 m
