1) Choose six different tests and write sixdifferent questions
one-sample t, paired samples t, independent t, one-way ANOVA,Factorial ANOVA, repeated measures ANOVA, regression, correlation,or chi-square.
2) For each question, choose a different test, and write up a research scenario in which you describe the researchquestion and some details of the study or experiment. The questionthat the reader has to answer is ‘which test is appropriate?’.
Example (using Z-tests):
A personality psychologist has decided to investigate claimsthat the younger generation of college students (born between 1995and 2000) are different from previous generations on the dimensionof narcissism. She surveyed 150 college students born between 1995and 2000 and compared their average level of narcissism (M = 4.3,SD = .3) to that of the previous generation (? = 4.2, ? = .1). Whatstatistical test would be appropriate to conduct in thissituation?
A. paired samples t
B. z-test
C. one-way ANOVA
D. Correlation
3) across the questions, please use at leastone example from developmental, cognitive, social, or clinicalpsychology (you can have some repeat areas)
